Hi, I'm Katie 😁 I'm 31 years old from Manchester. I was first introduced to sign language at 12years old whilst on holiday. I met a deaf boy who spent the full week teaching me how to sign the alphabet. I've always been interested to learn to sign but never took the time to do it. Last year I came across a deaf person working at Starbucks who had someone signing the order to him so he could do his job. I was really annoyed with myself that I hadn't spent the time to learn to sign and I missed an opportunity to be able to communicate with this guy. Really looking forward to learning how to sign 😁

      Hi  everyone, this is my first post on the forum.  I work as part of the Front of House Team in a theatre and I am interested in learning some sign language to be able to communicate more easily with the many members of the deaf community who come to the theatre. So far I am doing ok in the comfort of my own home but under pressure I get flustered.  Does anyone else find the same problem? I think a lot is down to constant repetition and practice.

      Hello everyone 🙂 I'm Layne. I am about to take my BSL202 and BSL203 at the start of next week 😬 I luckily passed BSL201 last week 😌 I am based in India so it is tricky to find people to practice with. If anyone is up super early in the UK and looking for someone to converse with I am 5.5 hours ahead so will be around! Thank you 🙏
