Hi! I'm a 20 year old Biomedical Sciences student at NCL Uni and I really wanted to give myself the opportunity to be able to communicate more freely with a greater variety of people, so I just started the british sign course. I struggle to learn entirely new languages but I am a visual learner, so I thought learning BSL would be a great way to improve my confidence in learning a new language. 

I hope everyone has a good summer and I want to wish everyone who is learning a new skill good luck and I hope you stick with it!

Hi Alice! I just graduated from Glasgow Uni and have been really enjoying the course so far. I completely get what you mean about being a visual learner, this feels very intuitive and I'm really looking forward to engaging with the rest of the course. Here's to sticking with it!

Hi there! my name is Arianna and I am a lecturer in the University of Edinburgh. so happy to have found this resource! :) I am a near beginner in BSL but hope to pursue it and improve!

      Hi  everyone, this is my first post on the forum.  I work as part of the Front of House Team in a theatre and I am interested in learning some sign language to be able to communicate more easily with the many members of the deaf community who come to the theatre. So far I am doing ok in the comfort of my own home but under pressure I get flustered.  Does anyone else find the same problem? I think a lot is down to constant repetition and practice.

      Hello everyone 🙂 I'm Layne. I am about to take my BSL202 and BSL203 at the start of next week 😬 I luckily passed BSL201 last week 😌 I am based in India so it is tricky to find people to practice with. If anyone is up super early in the UK and looking for someone to converse with I am 5.5 hours ahead so will be around! Thank you 🙏
