Hi! I'm learning sign language for the first time ever. I'm a teacher and the reason I'm learning is to be able to communicate with Deaf people. There is someone I work with who is Deaf and so far they have had to write a lot down when we communicate. I also understand how frustrating it can get when you find it hard to get across your emotions with words, so I hope I can support others with their communication anxiety in the same way that I've felt it.

    • Hiย  everyone, this is my first post on the forum.ย  I work as part of the Front of House Team in a theatre and I am interested in learning some sign language to be able to communicate more easily with the many members of the deaf community who come to the theatre. So far I am doing ok in the comfort of my own home but under pressure I get flustered.ย  Does anyone else find the same problem? I think a lot is down to constant repetition and practice.ย ย
    • Hello everyoneย ๐Ÿ™‚ I'm Layne. I am about to take my BSL202 and BSL203 at the start of next weekย ๐Ÿ˜ฌย I luckily passed BSL201 last weekย ๐Ÿ˜Œ I am based in India so it is tricky to find people to practice with. If anyone is up super early in the UK and looking for someone to converse with I am 5.5 hours ahead so will be around! Thank youย ๐Ÿ™
