Hello! My name is Katherine, I am a British-Mexican linguist, and am beginning to work as a part-time primary school teaching assistant. I also do a bit of English/Spanish translating and interpreting on the side. Growing up with 2 languages and 2 cultures, moving back and forth between countries, resulted in certain language and speech difficulties, making sign languages very attractive to me personally. I started learning Mexican sign language years ago but never continued, and upon resettling back here I am finally committed to learn sign language, and find BSL fascinating. I look forward to communicate in BSL with other students as well as within the deaf community, whom I'm very curious to meet. Cheers! -

My interest came from BSL module in uni (student paramedic) and I wanted to build on my knowledge so that I would be able to communicate with patients in the future. I also love chatting to strangers and I want to be able to do that with people who sign to!!
