  1. I agree, Red. But i think instead of UPSET it's WILL or WILLING. When used in this context it could mean "is not admitting yet".
  2. Hi there Aria. The more signers, the merrier. I'll reach out through email and see what we can setup
  3. Hi there markieh. I'm available to chat at times on weekends and select week nights. If you're interested just let me know.
  4. Hi all. Not sure if people are still following this chain, but I'm hearing, enrolled in Interpreting courses, and would love to meet more people to chat with. I do work during the day, but would love to see if anyone would be up for chatting. I am available most weekends!
  5. Hi there Jose! Sorry for the delayed response, I forget to check the forum regularly. But yes I'd be interested in practicing ASL together sometime. I've got Skype or Google Meet if either of those would work for you at all.
  6. A friend just sent me a link to a Groupon promotion for online ASL classes. Idk anything about this online site myself. Not sure if anyone else saw this or was interested. Not specifically promoting, just thought people might be interested. I saw it a $4 to buy today. https://www.groupon.com/deals/international-open-academy-1031?utm_source=groupon_transaction_succeeded&utm_medium=email&date=20200512&uu=b43e2508-9491-11ea-8e2d-0242ac120002&CID=US&s=body&c=link&d=deal-url&utm_campaign=groupon_transaction_succeeded_20200512
  7. Hi there Alex. Absolutely, getting to actually practice conversational sign rather than just by Youtube would be great. I'd love to see if we can setup a video chat sometime. and same for you, Lauren and Aspenlea. I don't have a Zoom just yet, but got an old Skype account if those platforms are better than the video chat on the site. Let me know your guys' thoughts, and nice to meet you!
  8. Yeah, that would be great. Thank you :) Just let me know when you're free & we can compare schedules.
  9. Hello everyone! I just recently joined this forum thinking it might be a great way to get better at ASL. I took a few basic ASL courses years ago in college, but never followed through with interpreting aspirations (cause of, ya know, life). After years of thinking about the missed opportunity, I put my foot down and now trying to go back to school for interpreting. I am still a beginner, but love learning and experiencing both the language and Deaf culture. I hope to get to signing with you all at some point. Until then, keep on keepin' on and stay safe out there 🤘
