Question about the fingerspelling game challenge

I'm having some trouble adjusting the speed for the Fingerspelling game challenge, I'm trying to make it fingerspell faster, however when I clicked on the faster button it remained at normal speed. Does anybody know how to adjust the speed and make it go faster?
