I came to this website hoping I could find someone I can be an apprentice to. Someone who is like a mentor and whom I can connect with, someone dedicated just as myself. Preferably a female, my schedule is quite open. So I am going to talk a little bit about myself and if you feel as though we could be mutual acquaintance or friends send me a message telling me a little about yourself.

My name is Scarlet Rose, I am a 20 year old female. I am interested in learning many things ranging from anatomy, numerology, mythology, different languages and different places. I'd like to learn lock picking and it would also be nice to learn automotive. I am interested in learning ASL because it truly is a unique language, especially considering when we speak most of what we say and what we give off to another is read in our body language. ASL is a language that I feel would broaden my sense of experience in life, especially with those around me. I am a night owl, I enjoy varieties of music but don't have a favorite kind. I don't have a favorite color either. Hmm... What else? Well, I'm a Libra. The only inanimate object of the zodiac signs. I enjoy traveling even though I don't do much of it. But car rides and going to new places around me suffice.

Thanks for taking your time to read about me.

Sincerely, Scarlet Rose.

    • Hello,  my name is LaDonn and I have been learning ASL over the past few years.  I have taken some local classes which were extremely helpful and I love making new friends.  I also study on my own using ASL dictionaries, watching videos and recently teaming up with a fellow ASL classmate to practice when we can.  So, I was thrilled to find this site where I can actually video chat with other signers and practice with voice off.  The best way to learn is by doing.   I would love to meet both beginners like me and experienced signers, too.
    • Hi!  My name is Kendal, and I am a college student currently enrolled in ASL II. Unfortunately, online spaces are the only way I can immerse myself in the Deaf community, which is the main reason I decided to make my account. Now, onto the interview help... For my midterm project, I am required to conduct a brief interview with a deaf person. If there is anyone who fits my single criteria and is willing to participate, please let me know!
    • Hi, my name is Triceta. I am 30 years old. I am Deaf, I lost my hearing in 2023, but I have been signing for 13 years, I took ASL in highschool and just continued signing. I immersed myself in the deaf community, wanting to learn more and to practice the skills I had. Fast forward to 2020, I started having double ear infections and kept complaining of the pain, but nothing was ever done. By the time I saw a doctor who would listen to me and consulted with an ENT specialist, my hearing had already diminished in both ears.
    • Thank so much!
