jt15550 Posted June 24, 2019 Report Posted June 24, 2019 Thereâs someone in my social circle that I would like to get to know better. Whenever I see her, we are always with a crowd of people, so I was racking my brain to come up with how to ask and get her attention.   Among other things she is an ASL teacher... if I started signing to her I think she would be absolutely floored (and hopefully say yes!) I would like to sign to her: âI would like to call you tomorrow, if that is okay.â Iâll cover some more general words between now and then, but thatâs how Iâd like to âsurpriseâ her as it were. Thanks in advance!
jt15550 Posted June 24, 2019 Author Report Posted June 24, 2019 Okay, one more sentence while I'm asking "I was thinking the two of us could have dinner sometime - you know - without all these other people."
jt15550 Posted June 24, 2019 Author Report Posted June 24, 2019 Sorry for all the posts. I did some brief reading on sentence structure, I am reminded of my Russian studies where sentences can be very simple and order can determine emphasis. Obviously I will take anyoneâs advice, but something like: - Here too many people - future you me dinner? - tomorrow i call, okay?
Bailee M Posted April 9, 2021 Report Posted April 9, 2021 Hi! Looks like you have some of ASL's structure already down đ You could sign: many people here wow.. you want leave? You, me dinner, us finish? (For a yes/no question: eyebrows raised, leaning forward slightly). This loosely translates to: There's too many people here, you wanna go and get dinner? Just the two of us? Best of luck asking her out! For signs: http://www.lifeprint.com/ https://www.handspeak.com/ Â
