  1. Hi my name is Trevlin I live in NorthWest England . I am deaf myself since age 3 from measles damage but have wanted to involve myself in deaf /Deaf culture and language for a long time. I hoped in my younger years to study a Uclan to do the deaf studies degree but that didn't happen. I am now studying level one sign language at college and love it but as I'm now in my 70th decade I may have left it to late . I would love to know any other potential signers and see how people are going on .I'm enjoying this course as an add on to college in an attempt to keep the grey cells firing .

  2. Hi everyone, I’m Chris Long, and I’m absolutely thrilled to join this fantastic BSL community! I’m currently studying BSL and Deaf Studies at the University of Lancashire, and I’m loving every step of this journey. I’m not Deaf, but I live with hearing loss and tinnitus, which has inspired me to learn BSL and connect more deeply with Deaf culture and communication. I’m based in Lancashire and passionate about connecting with people through signing and building relationships in this vibrant community. I’m still early in my BSL learning, with lots to discover, and I’m excited to learn from all of you. Fun fact: I’ve got about 20 hours of experience flying microlight aircraft, which is as exhilarating as mastering a new BSL sign! I’d love to hear from you all! What’s your favorite thing about BSL, or do you have any tips for a student like me balancing hearing loss and studies? Also, any Lancashire locals know of Deaf events or meetups I could join? Can’t wait to connect and share stories! Best, Chris Long

  3. Hi! For this, personally, I would use "Sign (fingerspell word) what?" If you need a video I can attach one
