I would like to learn BSL so I can communicate with other BSL users. As a vet, some of my clients use BSL and so learning this would help me gather a fuller clinical history and to better explain treatment/management options. I also love languages, learning and talking to people.

Hello there! My name is Sarah - I am an educator and vet. I have wanted to learn sign language for such a long time, but it wasn't until there was increased coverage RE BSL in the media that I discovered that I could learn this in my own time and online - and even though I have just started, I am really enjoying it so far. One of my biggest worries is not having enough practice in my day to day life - in order to consolidate my knowledge and to progress. However, the more people I talk to about my journey, the more people I find that know some sign language and who would like to practice more - so this gives me a lot of hope!
