I am learning BSL so that i can support any members of the public who have hearing loss who needs help in my job. I also have a friend who is deaf and wanted to show her that i value her and can communicate with her better.

Hi My name is Kim. I decided to learn BSL late Feb 2022 when I had to isolate from work with Covid. My boys Godparent is deaf and we usually communicate with her lip reading but i wanted her to feel more valued and be able to communicate more effectively with her. I also work with the public and wanted to be able to communicate and support any one with hearing loss. I think this is such a valuable skill even though I am still very slow with it at the moment.
