Hello everyone. My name is Wendy. I attended BSL classes in 1992 ( did the then exam, now called level1) and enjoyed it but life got in the way and I did no more until 2017. But had forgotten so much! ,I have done and so enjoyed the British-sign.co.uk courses and have attended other courses locally to my home in Norfolk U.K. My receptive skills are very poor and I am struggling to improve but so want to do so.,I seem stuck as a beginner!😊 However, , for the last two years I have been a volunteer teacher in the library here, giving six- week taster sessions from which attendees can then go on if they wish to find more advanced courses. One attendee has passed level 1 and has enrolled on level2 course - I am so proud of him. I love doing this and the interest in BSL seems to be growing, which is great. In .January I set up a monthly .Deaf Cafe. How can I improve my receptive skills? My age is not helping . All advice greatfully received! Thank you.
