  1. Hi everyone i just wanted to ask some questions, I've been studying BSL level 1 for the past couple months and i have completed a small course at a local college and now i am studying BSL level 1 using Britishsign.co.uk i was wondering if this is the right route to take to get some offical qualifications at some point or if theres something else i need to sign up to in order to get those eventually as it is difficult for me to travel as i dont drive and there are not many higher level classes near me. i was wondering how many levels i have to study and if anyone knows how to get offical qualifications?

  2. As a person who is neurodiverse I tend to jump from subject to subject not really knowing what i want to do in life, not every neurodiverse person will be confused about what they want to do that is just my personal experience. However for a very long time I've always loved sign language over the years i learned a few songs and phrases however upon thinking about what i want to do as my career in the past year I decided that I wanted to learn BSL and use it to do something good with my future job, not only that but also do what i love for a job. I'm very happy to be taking the course I am, and to have been able to take my classes and I'm very motivated to complete this course and hopefully get my level 1 qualification.
  3. Hello everyone I'm Abbie and I'm interested in sign language. I thought i would make an account here in order to connect to and learn more about the deaf and BSL community, also to help me as i am starting to learn sign language. I have been learning BSL on and off from about the age of 14, now i am 19 and i have decided to commit to it and would like to be fluent. I have attended a small class and had some help from a tutor and i have really enjoyed it and now I'm using British Sign's online course to hopefully get my Level 1 qualification. I would love to be a teacher or interpreter of BSL someday as it is my dream job and it's what i love.
