Hey, I’m Scott.
I began learning BSL about a year ago as I wanted to get more confident and communicative. I do not have any hear difficulties, however, I am someone who struggles with anxiety, and had a hard time verbalising my thoughts and feelings.
With such, I thought it would be a great way to become more open and stop me from hiding away as much. Although, I do not know anyone whom uses BSL and cannot practice it with people as much, my BSL journey has been going rather smoothly.
With learning BSL, I have opened up opportunities for me to incorporate the language and the community into my work, connecting to more people.
