My name is Jill and I am profoundly deaf in one ear, although I can hear quite well with the use of hearing aids. I have always been fascinated watching people use sign language and decided to try and learn it myself after meeting a couple on holiday who were themselves completely deaf. We managed to communicate quite well between us, but I wished that I had learnt BSL beforehand! Here I am!
