Hi Guys, I hope you are all happy and healthy. My name is Derek and I am currently trying to learn to sign. There's a few reasons for this but the main ones are that I was born with limited hearing and through a series of operations (mainly having things removed) I got my hearing back. It comes and goes slightly when I have a bad cold but not seriously. The second reason is that I work in the hospitality trade and would really like to be able to communicate with all of my guests one day. Using the lock down and the unlimited time just feels like the perfect time.
