having worked in hospitality for years, i think its astounding how few people (not just in that industry, but in general society) know absolutely no sign language.
I can only imagine the barriers that must put up for someone within the deaf community, so have decided to learn BSL with the extra time now because of COVID-19.
I'm not sure when I will be able to put it into practice in the real world, but I would love to be able to help someone out in a situation us in the hearing community probably take for granted! Or just be able to have a conversation with someone who may otherwise feel isolated
