I train at and help with the publicity of a Muay Thai/ Boxing/ BJJ/MMA gym and our number 1 MMA fighter is deaf. I would like to do more publicity with him (and his community including See Hear on TV) and to save him having to get his interpreter there all the time, I can work with him myself. I have ALWAYS wanted to learn BSL, for as many years as I can remember. My late Uncle was deaf and he was superb at sign and lip reading. He was a social worker within the deaf community in Swindon. I am loving doing the course on here and also on Facebook/Zoom with my lovely teacher Caitlin.

My name is Charlie, I live in Kent. I started BSL during lockdown with an amazing young lady called Caitlin. I signed up to the course on here too to further my skills. I have ALWAYS wanted to learn BSL for as long as I can remember. However, since starting Muay Thai boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu nearly 2 years ago, I have made friends with an amazing MMA fighter there called Thomas. He was born deaf but to watch him you wouldnt think so, he's a machine! Anyway, as I do the publicity for the gym and he is one of our No1 fighters I was boosted to learn BSL. I cant wait to see him and his community when lockdown on our gym is lifted. I hope you're all well, safe and happy? Much love to all.
