To start with, hopefully in a few years I will be a qualified pharmacist and I could see this being a very useful language to know. In my job I already know patients who are hard of hearing or deaf and so I know it's very likely that I will meet more in the future.
During this coronavirus lockdown I watched a film, A Silent Voice, which featured a partially deaf girl. The film itself was very moving and after watching it I really wanted to look into learning BSL and a few weeks later, here I am, doing it.
