I learnt sign language whilst I was at college as I thought it is an amazing language to learn and I also had a friend with a deaf parents so I want to show them respect by being able to communicate with them. I am currently re-taking the BSL Level 1 course to refresh my knowledge as I currently work with deaf people and believe it would be thoughtful and considerate as well as helpful in my job to be able to communicate with them even tho we use interpreters.

Hi my name is Sarah. When I was younger I learnt Level 1 sign language but as I have not used it for a very long time I wanted to refresh my knowledge. My partner and I are both taking the level 1 BSL course as we both come into contact with people who are Deaf and hard of hearing in our work roles and think we should be able to communicate with them.
