Jessica Hodgson

Hi everyone! My name is Jessica and I live in Scotland. I come from a hearing family but I have always been interested in learning BSL and wish it had been offered as a second language at my school. I decided to start the Introducing BSL course while in lockdown as I had been furloughed from work and wanted something to focus on and get excited about. Before the pandemic hit I worked in a theatre and although it may be a while before we get to reopen, I think it is so important to make theatre accessible to everyone. I would love to be able to use this new skill in future to welcome BSL-using customers to our venue and make their experience even more memorable.
