Good luck I've found having someone else to show and teach has made things sink in a bit more. I think personally having BSL for all aspects in life would greatly open doors for many people. You're going to make a lot of difference in your industry I'm sure

Thankyou! I'm still very basic but my children and husband are all picking up little bits which is brilliant! My three year old now uses it for colours and it's the sweetest thing.

it's something I have always wanted to do but now I have an extra special reason. My husband and I's closest friends' youngest has recently been diagnosed as deaf, and has started school now and not being able to communicate fluently English or BSL. COVID meant that his diagnosis has been delayed drastically and I want to help with his progression of using sign language when ever we go round to visit. We always look at his mum for translation of when he talks to us but I would really like to help and communicate with him directly. He has a teacher of the deaf lessons at school and his family are doing their best to learn too. I want to be able to show my children how to talk to him too :)#

Hello :) I’m still very new to BSL and just trying to take it all in! I’ve always wanted to be fluent in another language and I never thought I would have the time or energy to do so. I am a secondary science technician with a 12 month old and 7 year old so have my hands full most of the time, but with this lock down, I decided to make something of it. Whilst I am very busy in the day homeschooling and tending to the baby, I have noticed I’m just wasting my evenings watching thing on telly I have watched 100 times before. So, I have decided to be productive and put my insomnia to work. So, fingers crossed and wish all those also doing the course all the best and hopefully I will be able to sign to you later.
