  1. I am learning BSL because as a person who works with disabled people on a day to day basis, I feel that there is a need for a more accessible society. Living in a small country, there are not many Deaf/ Hard of hearing people, so the facilities here are limited. There are few interpreters, they usually need to be flown in, there is nearly no funding in the offering of BSL courses, hence why I've resorted to taking manners into my own hands and doing this online. Hopefully, through learning some BSL I'll be able to make one small step into making my small country slightly more accessible.
  2. Hi I'm new to this! I'm a special needs teacher, so I've been exposed to a lot of Makaton signing. I've always wanted to learn more specifically about BSL. Coincidently, my mother in law is deaf so she's been able to teach me bits and bobs along the way.
