I studied BSL and deaf studies as a minor on my dance degree course with the intention of going into teaching dance to children with special needs. Never got round to making that step but am teaching dance and we have a child who has limited hearing and it would be great to have that communication level if needed. I loved learning BSL before and am enjoying picking it up again

Hi I’m Leigh-Ann , a dance teacher from Birmingham. I studied BSL while taking my Dance Degree at Wolverhampton uni many moons ago. Using lockdown to refresh my skills so I can use it at my dance school if needs be and to be of use in the community Really enjoying getting back into signing so far, just a few modules in but I’m surprised how much I have remembered.
