I decided to learn BSL the moment a post popped up about a BSL course starting. I was extremely shy and didn't talk much during a very difficult childhood, and it's during that time I learned the BSL alphabet. All these years later, the alphabet had stayed in the recesses of my mind, and I feel that learning BSL is a natural step for me. Then I started to think more deeply about it and started to observe all the instances of equality, so here I am, working at improving myself so that I can contribute, where once I couldn't.

Hi, my name is Shirley and I am learning BSL via the BSL online course. I have had an affinity with BSL since I was small, and when this course became available I had to sign up! 6am each morning I switch on my laptop and start learning my next module - a great start to the day. I tried to upload a video but laptop didn't like it - so will work on that
