HI, my name is Michael and I work in the health industry within the NHS.
I completed a Masters Degree a couple of years ago and decided that BSL would be my next venture and as I work in Emergency and Urgent Care, some of my patients are part of the deaf community and to be able to communicate with them in a way that it makes them feel at ease, warms my heart.
BSL enables me to give my patients the best possible journey at their time of need, this is why it is important for me to learn BSL and maintain a good standard and understanding of the language and community. To be honest, I am at the beginning of my BSL journey and I do not have anyone around me that can speak in BSL so I am looking to network on this forum to find friends to speak with, learn and share experiences.
Hopefully some of you will reach out and we'll have a great journey together.
