I first learnt about BSL from my friend a few years ago who ended up teaching me the alphabet and I've been interested in learning it ever since. I always kind of wondered why it wasn't taught at schools since it seems like it would make a lot of peoples lives easier for people who are deaf, non-verbal etc. So now I have more spare time I decided to sign up for the course. It also provides a benefit for me since I sometimes get an overwhelming amount of emotion that it's hard to express stuff verbally so I feel like learning sign might also be useful.
