Hey Everyone,
I'm Mac and I have always wanted to learn BSL. I had deaf teacher when I was 9 years old and she taught us some bits of sign language which I never forgot. Between general life stuff and a lack of confidence, I guess I've shied away from learning BSL but if this pandemic has taught me anything it's to embrace life and it's opportunities. I decided to sign up because I've always wanted to be able to communicate with more people and I've never forgotten how much it meant to my teacher all those years ago signing the few bits she taught us. We also have hearing loss within the family which has happened over time and I just believe it's something we should all be taught. It should be no different than learning any other language in school. I'm teaching my young kids as I go along so it's also really nice to share this with them and teach them a new language too
