Hello everyone, I'm Rebecca also known as Becca from Newcastle. I'm new to the BSL world, I was told last June that I needed to have hearing aids in both ears due to slipping through the cracks as a child and no one picked up that I'm partially deaf. Now, according to audiologists they don't know how long or how short I will have the rest of my hearing due to not being on any records so it would be good to make sure that I start learning now in case I ever do lose the rest of my hearing. 

I grew up with a uncle who is profoundly deaf since he was 3 years old from an illness. So I was taught little bits and bobs of BSL growing up.

      Hi  everyone, this is my first post on the forum.  I work as part of the Front of House Team in a theatre and I am interested in learning some sign language to be able to communicate more easily with the many members of the deaf community who come to the theatre. So far I am doing ok in the comfort of my own home but under pressure I get flustered.  Does anyone else find the same problem? I think a lot is down to constant repetition and practice.

      Hello everyone 🙂 I'm Layne. I am about to take my BSL202 and BSL203 at the start of next week 😬 I luckily passed BSL201 last week 😌 I am based in India so it is tricky to find people to practice with. If anyone is up super early in the UK and looking for someone to converse with I am 5.5 hours ahead so will be around! Thank you 🙏
