Medical student looking for someone to practice with! :)

Recommended Posts

Hi!

My name is Jonty, I'm 21 and a 2nd year medical student at Edinburgh uni. Like a lot of people on here I am now working from home due to COVID-19, but am keen to keep learning sign language as I was taking classes at uni. I hope that one day I can use what I have learnt to help patients without needing to find an interpreter. :)

I am about halfway through my online intro course but have done lessons before.

If anyone wants to practice with just let me know. I'm pretty easy going and have a lot of spare time atm, would be fun!

Hello Jonty,

I am also keen on learning bsl but I have no clue when to start. I know no signs and would like to practice with someone so it might be easier to form conversation and correct imperfections.

Also congrats on your medical studies

Cheyenne~

It was awkward and offensive to watch a person in a stressful situation left without help just because there was no necessary communication channel. Since then, I have become more interested in how medical support for people with hearing impairments is organized. It turned out that there are websites and services, such as FMRQ customer service ,
