My name is Marcia and I  have just begun to learn BSL during the Coronavirus Lockdown.  I have wanted to learn for many years but always put it on the back burner through lack of confidence.  However, now is the best gift of time to get cracking as I am currently furloughed - so here I am.  I also went to a music festival last Summer and saw the songs being interpreted at the side of the stage. I was mesmerised, it was so beautiful, a dance all of its own and very powerful and moving. I actually stopped watching the actual act I had gone to see and watched the signer.  Magical.  My aim is to be able to sign a song myself and keep up with practice in case I am able to put it to good use in the future and make new friends.

    • Hello everyone, For my introduction to British Sign Language training, I am to post here my reasons to why I am dedicated to learn BSL. My previous role was a teaching and learning assistant at a secondary school and my current role is an art instructor in a day service for adults with learning difficulties. • Hello! I am very new here and I would like recommendations of online BSL courses where I can learn online in the evening. Cost isn’t an issue but it needs to be money well spent.  For context, am a lifelong hearing aid wearer with no BSL knowledge apart from finger spelling the alphabet… slowly.    Thanks in advance.
