Hello I have recently started to learn some basic sign language.

My name is Val Watson, I am a learning support assistant in a secondary school.

In September we are expecting a child who uses sign language to join us.

 I may not be working with them, but at least I will be able to say hello etc... if I bump into them.

It makes the school a more welcoming place.

hello I am hard of hearing who use abit of BSL and I am trying to promote BSL in my own college and it great to see other people who trying to learn it even though you might not be working with them!
