Hello,

My name is Vanessa and I live in Canada. I am intermediate in American Sign Language, and currently work with students who are deaf and new to Canada. I plan to apply for my Tier 5 Visa soon so that I can work in the UK for two years. I would like to know BSL so that I can get a job working with deaf individuals. I enjoy reading, video games, cross-stitching, watching YouTube, and learning about medicine. I am also trying to learn Braille. I love dogs and hope to get one myself one day.

  I am learning BSL to support one of the chidren who attends my nursery. He is nearly 2 and has profound hearing loss, he will possibly have a cochlea implant but will likely need to use signs too.
