Hi! 

I really think BSL should be way more accessible to children, I even think every child should be taught the basics. 

For me it was something that fascinated me from a young age. Any time I've done it I felt as though I picked it up quickly and it felt easier than some other languages.

Hi Rache,

I couldn't agree more! I think it would be great if at least the basics were taught in schools. I have always been the same like you too, I definitely feel I've picked/picking up BSL easier than other languages! Though I suppose it helps if you actually WANT to learn it! 🤣

      Hi, I am currently a student that is trying to become a Physical Education teacher. My reason for learning sign language is because I have had students that are D/deaf and I would love to communicate better with them without the use of external help. Also I have some family members that are losing their hearing or lost it so I would also still love to communicate with them as well. I have only just started but very excited to learn and develop my knowledge further

      Hi, I support children in school who have an hearing impairment. Love my job. I have my Level 1 and 2 of BSL and doing my Level 3 (which is hard). I am on here to practice and improve, and of course to meet all of you who are interested.

      I'm involved in HE, both student and tutor, although very matured 😶‍🌫️. My reasons for starting to learn BSL are mainly two. First, I have a colleague who is very proficient and she has been helpful to several people in her use of BSL, I would like to be able to help too. Also, it enhances me in working with people. I have only just begun, but sometime soon  it'd be good to practice. I shall come back and check if anyone else wants to practice when I've progressed further.
