I’m Laura. I learned some sign language years ago when I taught a young boy with Down’s Syndrome who had difficulty speaking. I have forgotten most of it now, though. I’ve always wanted to learn BSL. I recently joined a special needs teaching agency and I think it will be a really useful skill to help me communicate with the children. It’s a great thing to teach children of all ages and abilities, actually. So, I’m using the school holidays to learn as much as I can before returning in September.
