Hello from West Yorkshire

Hello everybody,

I'm new to the form and new to BSL.  I've only had 3 short sessions so far.  I'm learning through my work, I'm a health care professional.  I'm looking forward to learning more.  I'm struggling remembering signs at the moment, and getting my vowels muddled up, but I found the game on here and have been giving that a go - I'm also signing car registrations that I pass and pass me when I'm out walking.

It's nice to have joined your community.

Hello!

I am also from West Yorkshire and new to sign language :) I'm 18 and my mum was learning a few years ago for her work at a charity that helps people with learning difficulties (she encountered many deaf and non-verbal people so took a course) and I would ask her to teach me some new signs when she got home.

I like your idea for signing car registrations, I might try that :)

    • I found https://www.flirtini.com/asian.html while browsing for something a little different. I’d never really explored this kind of niche before, but something about it drew me in. The site makes it easy to start chatting right away, and the energy is sexy but relaxed. The women I’ve met so far are playful, curious, and not shy about what they want. It’s such a fun vibe — the kind that keeps you hooked longer than you planned.
    • Hi all I am Stella.  I am retired with two dogs who keep me very busy.  I have Menieres disease and five years ago I woke up and found I was totally deaf. My hearing never returned and I have felt isolated since then. I have started learning BSL on line this week and hope to join a course in September.  I have a long way to go but now I see some light at the end of the tunnel.
    • Frankly, it's really worth finding such a site, because it can certainly help solve problems
    • It would really help me a lot, because I have been looking for a place for a long time
    • Hey Guys! I'm Alex and I'm 18. I first became fascinated with BSL and interested in learning it when my mum became a teacher. She teaches SEN and is very passionate about ensuring Special Needs children experience the same level of understanding and communication of education as everyone else.
    • Hi I'm Janey, 59 years old & 3 months into learning BSL on-line.  Practising getting up to speed with finger signing challenge exercises (still on medium speed).  Can finger sign very slowly, struggling with numbers & remembering other signs but loving it.  Thinking about college & volunteering next as I want to work in this field.
    • Hello! My name is Hannah. I am a nurse (student) and I am 20 years old.    I wanted to learn BSL after spending some time working with my local Deaf CAMHS service. I have always been interested in learning BSL but now I'm finally doing it! I wasn't sure how it would work with my disability so if anyone has any tips particularly on finger spelling I would be very grateful.
