Hello! My name is Lottie, I'm 28 years old and I am currently not working as I am a full time stay at home mum. I decided to do a sign language course as 3 years ago whilst working as a bookseller, a deaf couple asked for my help to find some books. I was able to help them through writing things down but I was so ashamed that I could not communicate with them better and I felt that it must be difficult coming into shops needing help but unable to help. I haven't had the time until now to do it so I am learning during my daughter's naptimes. I am very much enjoying it, and also hoping it enhances my CV when the time comes to look for a new job.

      Hi  everyone, this is my first post on the forum.  I work as part of the Front of House Team in a theatre and I am interested in learning some sign language to be able to communicate more easily with the many members of the deaf community who come to the theatre. So far I am doing ok in the comfort of my own home but under pressure I get flustered.  Does anyone else find the same problem? I think a lot is down to constant repetition and practice.

      Hello everyone 🙂 I'm Layne. I am about to take my BSL202 and BSL203 at the start of next week 😬 I luckily passed BSL201 last week 😌 I am based in India so it is tricky to find people to practice with. If anyone is up super early in the UK and looking for someone to converse with I am 5.5 hours ahead so will be around! Thank you 🙏
