I work at a high ropes course and have started learning sign to help interact with customers who sign

A while ago I was at work and about to help some customers go down the zipwire there was a man who help his hand to represent a person like in the signs for falling for example and moved it across Infront of him at a slight angle mimicking the zipwires decent.

I was wondering if this was an actual sign or he was trying to explain what a zipwire was/made their own sign?

I would assume such an obscure word that lots of people don't know the English word for would not have a sign and would have to be spelt out

Just wondering if anyone knows
