I’m a doctor in Wales and recently have had a few BSL-speaking patients who have required an interpreter in order to seek medical attention. My partner is also hearing impaired and although it is unlikely that she will lose her hearing entirely, we both thought it would be a great time to learn BSL together. Hopefully I can use this to affect change in my workplace and provide better medical care to my patients!
