CaroleB Posted January 28, 2023 Report Posted January 28, 2023 Hi everyone  I have just started to learn BSL and just over half way through the course. I am really enjoying it and would love to practice with a buddy. I can be quite flexible in days of the week and time. So, if anyone here is ambitious enough or looking for a buddy, I hope you will consider me. Thanks, Carole. 1

Donna-Lewis Posted January 31, 2023 Report Posted January 31, 2023 Hi Carole  I'm really sorry, but I'm not sure myself, I was hoping you would have been able to tell me 🤣. Not a good start for the pair of us. I'll try and have a look to see if I can find any information about it. Donna 1

Donna-Lewis Posted February 2, 2023 Report Posted February 2, 2023 Hi Carole, I can see you in the room. I'm trying to get on but it's saying I'm unable to use microphone and camera. Bear with me, I am trying. Donna
Donna-Lewis Posted February 2, 2023 Report Posted February 2, 2023 I'm sorry, but I don't know how to switch the camera/microphone on.  I tried to get on early, for any teething problems but didn't expect this to happen.
CaroleB Posted February 2, 2023 Author Report Posted February 2, 2023 ok Donna, it is showing you need to turn your mic on or volume up. Unmute yourself.Â

Lead Academy Posted April 4 Report Posted April 4 If you’re seeking a Sign Language buddy, here are some helpful tips to find one: Online Communities – There are many forums and Facebook groups where people connect with others to practice BSL. Try looking for groups like "British Sign Language Learners" or "BSL Practice Buddies" on social media. Sign Language Classes – Many local BSL classes have practice sessions where you can find a buddy. It’s a great opportunity to practice with someone at a similar level. Meetups – Websites like Meetup.com often have local groups for people learning BSL. Joining these groups can help you find someone to practice with in person. Deaf Clubs or Events – Many cities have deaf clubs or social events where you can meet fluent BSL users who might be willing to practice with you. Apps – Some language learning apps and websites, like Signly or BSL Connect, allow you to connect with other learners or native users to practice.
