I have just been offered a job as a student support worker, to assist deaf and/or sight impaired students and, although not a requirement of the job, I feel it would be beneficial to both myself and the students if I can at least sign some basics.Ā -

Hi all, I am just doing the Intro to BSL and would like to use this forum to practice what I have learned so far. Anyone else like me? I have no deaf friends or other people that I know can sign. I have only done finger spelling, numbers and colours, introductions, jobs and places. But I am working my way through it. Hello to all of you. I made the choice to learn BSL 3 years ago and joined up to the next available class that was starting. I have now just started my level 3 but am feeling very overwhelmed by it compared to level 1 and 2. I have been using what I learned before to teach signing to my team mates in work and we have a better relationship with the local deaf community because of this. Ā I am really happy to be here with you all as we continue to learn and advance. -
