Introducing Myself

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, my name is Esther, I'm 23 and have been learning British Sign Language as a minor along side my major degree. I am just finishing my level 4 and was looking to find groups and websites for me to keep practicing and growing my confidence in signing and comprehension. I am still figuring out what career I'd like and I hope BSL is an aspect so for now if anyone wants a practice session or has any tips for where I can go, please reach out. It's great that there are so many people here all learning this beautiful language.

    • Hi! I’m Emily, I was a CoDa (child of deaf adult) between ages of 5 and 12 as we used BSL at home to communicate with my stepdad who was deaf.    I recently watched a show with a deaf actress in who used ASL and it reminded me that I know quite a lot of basic BSL but I want to brush up on my skills so I can effectively communicate with any BSL users I come across! It’s also a fun hobby ☺️
