Hi 😎

My name's Kevin and I'm in Term 2 of Level One BSL.

I'm retired and I live with my wife Janet and our cat Tinks on the south coast of England.

I've always been interested in breaking down barriers between people. Each year I volunteer at an Arts Festival (https://www.greenbelt.org.uk/) and we have been working to include d/Deaf People. The Festival uses a team of professional singers for all the acts, and for personal interpretation. I don't expect to get anywhere near their level of skill, but I want to be able to engage in some small way with d/Deaf festival goers who come my way.

We have an excellent tutor at Sussex University, but I struggle with the learning! All the other students are at least half my age, and they pick everything up really quickly. Anyway, I'm still there and looking forward to Term 3 🙂
