I once witnessed a situation in a clinic where a deaf-mute man was trying to explain what was hurting him, but the staff simply did not understand him. It was awkward and offensive to watch a person in a stressful situation left without help just because there was no necessary communication channel. Since then, I have become more interested in how medical support for people with hearing impairments is organized. It turned out that there are websites and services, such as FMRQ customer service , which provide a text chat or video with a specialist who speaks sign language. Such solutions are really needed - because access to medicine should be for everyone, and not just for those who can explain themselves out loud.
