I joined a BSL Society today!

I just thought I'd drop in and mention that I joined a BSL Society that takes place in my university today. I came along to the drop in session and despite being quite nervous, I learned a thing or two and made a few friends. I recognised a lot of the beginner signing from the british-sign.co.uk course (level 1) I've been practicing.Ā 

A funny small difference I noticed was the regional dialect - being in Scotland there's a few minor differences in how to sign place names, etc than in England. It's been so fun and interesting to learn about!

      HiĀ  everyone, this is my first post on the forum.Ā  I work as part of the Front of House Team in a theatre and I am interested in learning some sign language to be able to communicate more easily with the many members of the deaf community who come to the theatre. So far I am doing ok in the comfort of my own home but under pressure I get flustered.Ā  Does anyone else find the same problem? I think a lot is down to constant repetition and practice.Ā Ā

I am about to take my BSL202 and BSL203 at the start of next weekĀ šŸ˜¬Ā I luckily passed BSL201 last weekĀ šŸ˜Œ I am based in India so it is tricky to find people to practice with.
