Hi, I am really delighted to have joined this forum. I am currently waiting on EV assessment for my NVQ Level 6 portfolio and have put in applications for Interpreter training for the new year. I work as a freelance Communication Support Worker mostly within FH/HE settings.

I previously have worked for Graeae Theatre Company and am currently contracted 2 days a week as the Community Engagement Manager for Solar Bear, a theatre company based in Glasgow that supports Deaf practitioners. Solar Bear runs the UK's only year round Deaf Youth Theatre and in partnership with the Royal Conservatoire Scotland we run a weekly Life Long Learning course called Deaf Performance Skills & the BA Performance which is taught in BSL & English.

  I’ve had that happen before, especially when the topic looks easy at first and then suddenly turns complicated. Usually I either step away for a bit or look for examples to understand how everything should connect.

  Hey, I’ve been sitting with this essay for hours and nothing seems to work, the arguments sound fine separately but together they feel messy. It’s frustrating because the deadline is close and I’m running out of ideas.

  Hi, my name is Chelsea! I have always wanted to learn sign language, but I now work as an INA in a primary school so feel I've got more of a push to finalise my course. I also work alongside teachers that are deaf, and so I think its very important that I learn. Any tips, tricks, or help would be so appreciated!
