Introducing myself 😊

Hi, my name is Tanya and I am only 12 years old! BSL is technically my first language (as both my parents are deaf) yet I 1) Haven't had time to learn as I have just started secondary school 2) I'm meant to use sign language with family but I don't because my dad wears hearing aids and my mum can lip-read I am hoping to learn as much sign language as I can over the next few years... wish me luck!

  Thank you! I'll be enrolling in the online course offered on British Sign. I've not done it yet as I'm currently enrolled in a French course which finishes in 3 weeks. Then, when I'm back in the UK, I'll see how I can step up my learning. I guess there's no substitute for real-life, real-time human practice. Can't wait to get stuck in.
