  1. Hi there! I am having trouble finding an online program that doesn’t require you to have an associates coming in. I found a school that said you need an associates or be able to pass a proficiency test. The admissions counselor said “Some candidates will work with a registered interpreter on their own, like tutoring sessions, and attend Deaf community events and even use online resources in increase their skill base. They then will sit for the ASLPI. An ASLPI score of 2 or higher will verify your language proficiency and will allow admission.” Has anyone on this forum done something like this? If so, I’d love any pointers you could give. I have completed ASL I-III as well as a few intro to interpreting classes but it was a few years ago and I’m happy to start from the beginning for a refresher. Thank you!
