Hi,

I am not deaf and I don’t know the sign language, but am here mainly because my parents own a painting of a conversation in sign language and we are curious as to what it means. I can’t find a section on this forum that would be adapted to this question. Here is a photo of the painting:

      Hello! I’m learning ASL as my 2nd language, now as an adult. In high school and college many years ago, sign language was not considered as a valid 2nd language. I had worked with special needs children since grade school and had learned the basics and finger spelling. I really enjoy non verbal communication and really wanted to become proficient, but I was denied and had to take another direction to get credit for my degree.
