ASL2/3 level, looking for similar

Hey everyone, my name is Yinna.

I started ASL in January and am just starting ASL3 on Lifeprint. I can sort-of follow along with The Moth if I slow it down to 50%. I can beat most of those fingerspelling apps but when it's a fluent signer instead of a series of pictures it all comes apart at the seams :-).

I would love to sign with people who are at about my level. I'm sure we'll make mistakes, but I need to get over the 'oh dear what was that sign again' hump.

What else - I'm in my mid-40s (but please don't hold that against me), I live in California and I love to row. On the ocean. In a very narrow boat.

    • Hi, I started learning ASL about a year ago from videos and a book. I am 67 years old, retired and wanted to learn a second language. Unfortunately, no one else in my life is interested and I don't have anyone to sign with.  Best regards, Morris
    • I'm Simon from the UK. I am interested in finding out about resources for learning asl in the uk. For students travelling to the states. I have found a few things online but was hoping I could join this forum to help and to learn more about asl. Thanks
    • Hi I am Brittany. I have auditory processing issue and selective mutism. I have been learning asl off and on for most of my life. It is a special interest of mine but it is difficult when I dont have anyone to sign with.
    • Thx  You too
